The drug rehabilitation center offers various kinds of programs which can help different types of addicts in a different way. The different types of programs help the individuals to fight with their problems in a most effective way. The different types can be:

1. Inpatient Rehab: this is known to be the most effective treatment for the addicts. In this type of program the addicts are kept in a different house like structure where the addicts are kept with each other. In this program they receive a full time training from experts and professionals which helps them in addressing their addiction issues. These mainly are covered in 2 time periods Long term and short term.

The short one includes a time span of 30 days that is known as dry span in which not much addicted patients can be treated. The long term on the other hand can last from 2 days to 2 years. It simply depends on the advancement of the addiction habits of the patients. Short term rehab is the most common rehab but not necessarily the most effective. It may treat the patient in a short span of time but cannot guarantee that it will all be gone. Researchers have shown that long term rehab is far more effective than short term.

2. Day Treatment Rehab: day treatment rehab basically takes care of the patients during a work time. 8 to 5 is the most common time that these rehabs follow. In these programs the patient does not need to reside at the center. They come in the morning and leave in the evening just like the office hours. During their day they spend their time with the group of people, doctors and councilors. These programs are effective there where there is a brighter scope of getting rid easily.

3. Outpatient Rehab: it is the least intensive out of all the rehab programs. The extent of this program is that a person may attend few counseling sessions few times a week or a couple of hours. This helps those who are basically addicted to smoke and alcohol but not for those who are completely addicted. This program is not recommended for severe case of addiction.

The type rehab program chosen depends on the intensity of the addiction. These programs can work their best if chosen the right way and followed the right way.
